Your new role
The Reliability Engineer's primary function is to minimize the business impact due to critical equipment downtime and by maximizing uptime and minimizing asset life cycle cost.

Primary responsibilities and tasks:

Performing asset prioritization to identify key focus areas to reduce cost and failure frequency.

Developing and optimizing maintenance strategies for critical and high priority assets.

Identifying and monitoring equipment KPIs such as Availability, Reliability, MTBF, MTTR, Cost/hr. etc.

Defining the top 10 reasons for the process downtime, develop mitigation plans.

Facilitating root cause analysis workshops, drive the implementation of corrective actions.

Performing criticality assessments for mining and milling equipment, developing good maintenance strategies.





Evaluating the risk associated with the Management of Change related to equipment modifications.

What you need to succeed

Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering required.

Eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario required.

High competency level with the Reliability Centred Maintenance methodology is required.

Experience with an enterprise asset management system such as SAP preferred

Proficiency in conducting failure analysis and leading failure investigation workshops required.

Familiarity with condition monitoring techniques such as oil analysis, vibration analysis, ultrasonic testing, Ue technology, thermography, etc. preferred.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are required.

Robust prioritization, critical thinking, risk management and strategic planning skills are required.

Ability to influence and promote positive reliability and culture change is required.

Experience with the following software: SAP, Power of BI, MS Office and MS Project required
