Our insurance client is seeking a Senior Guidewire Developer to configure and integrate ClaimCenter , with exposure to Java, Spring Boot, and microservices

Join a technology team delivering software solutions within a fast evolving P&C; insurance environment. This role focuses on Guidewire ClaimCenter integration and configuration , Java development, production support, and system optimization within a scaled Agile environment. The team works closely with business stakeholders to deliver high impact projects and continuously improve development and maintenance processes.

6 month contract (possible extension) , Hybrid 2 days/week in office (Toronto/Mississauga or Montreal) , Working Hours: EST

Must Haves

Strong experience with Guidewire ClaimCenter integration and configuration (strong PolicyCenter experience will be considered)

Strong collaboration and communication skills

Learning mindset and adaptability

Degree in Computer Engineering / Science or equivalent combination of education and experience

Nice to Have

Experience with microservices, Spring Boot, and RESTful webservices

Understanding of SOA principles and SOA development

Understanding of Kafka messaging, RabbitMQ, MongoDB, and OpenShift technologies

Experience with GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, IntelliJ, JIRA, Confluence, and Teams

Experience using Agile Scrum methodology

Experience in Scaling Agile environments

Responsibilities

Develop and improve software systems to meet user needs

Code, test, debug, and document computer programs

Troubleshoot production issues and performance bottlenecks

Collaborate with users throughout all project phases

Analyze systems and recommend improvements to quality and maintenance processes

Apply SDLC methodology to ensure development standards are met
