EMCON SERVICES INC. is hiring an Equipment Operator in Wandering River for seasonal highway maintenance duties. Drive plow trucks and perform various road maintenance tasks this winter.

This position is seasonal and part of the AUPE union, with possible accommodations available. Your key role will involve operating equipment for snow removal and maintaining infrastructure, including signs and guiderails. To qualify, candidates must hold a valid AB Driver’s Licence, with Class 3 as a minimum and Class 1 preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
Operate plow trucks to transparent snow from roads
Install and maintain road signs and fences
Manage the upkeep of culverts and ditches
Contribute to multiple road maintenance operations
Adhere to safety standards while operating equipment

Requirements:
Valid AB Driver’s Licence required, Class 3 minimum
Class 1 Driver’s Licence preferred
Pre-employment drug screening policy applicable
Background in road maintenance or equipment operation
