This key position requires you to report to the Safety Manager and focus on accident prevention and regulatory compliance within the mining operations. You will conduct inspections, lead safety meetings, and develop training materials to support a safety-first culture. Your leadership will be instrumental in achieving and maintaining safety excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Identify and resolve safety hazards proactively
• Conduct educational safety tours with employees
• Participate in accident investigation and documentation
• Maintain safety meeting records and training logs
• Facilitate compliance with all safety regulations
Requirements:
• Ontario Secondary School Diploma and mining experience
• Familiarity with the Occupational Health and Safety Act
• Strong organizational and report-writing abilities
• Excellent interpersonal skills for team collaboration
• Valid Class G driver's license required
