Job Summary

Our Delta, BC Branch is currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Team. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for coordinating accounting operational functions. This position is focused on GL/financial analysis, cost accounting, internal/external financial reporting in compliance of IFRS, in particular IFRS 16 – leases and IFRS 15 – Revenue Recognition, reconciliations, annual audit, and other ad hoc projects requiring accounting support.This is a vacant position.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Serve as a key resource and business partner to the Finance and Accounting team.

- Analyze, review, and validate revenue recognition and gross margin reporting.

- Analyze material, labour, and overhead costs; perform cost and margin variance analysis against prior periods, budgets, and forecasts.

- Compile, review, and validate financial data, statistics, account analyses, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to support operational decision-making, planning, budgeting, and forecasting.

- Assist with month-end close and reporting processes.

- Assist in the preparation of internal and external financial statements,



management reports, and the annual budgeting process.

- Support banking activities, payment approvals, cash flow forecasting, and loan

- Participate in the development and enhancement of internal controls and process improvement initiatives.

- Act as backup for the Senior Accountant as required

- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with 3+ years in the senior level in cost accounting

- Designated CPA

- Proficiency/Advanced user in Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams and Outlook

- Attention to detail and analytical skills

- Strong urge in continuous process and efficiency improvement

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to adapt change with optimism
- A true team player and self-motivated

- ERP implementation and/or Netsuite experience an asset

- Solid sense of ethics and the ability to handle sensitive information with tact and discretion

- Ability to handle stress and tight deadlines
