Minimum Requirements: Chemical Technology Diploma or a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry / Science
5 years of Chemistry Lab experience. Familiar with Gasoline, Diesel and JetFuel testing




Proficiency in wet chemistry and analytical instrumentation
Experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) or SAP
Knowledge of ASTM methods for petroleum testing
Responsibilities: Execute daily laboratory analysis on crude oil, intermediates, and finishedproducts using approved Standard Operating Procedures
Maintain, calibrate, and verify the performance of laboratory instruments(e.g., gas chromatographs, viscometers)
Record and report analytical data accurately using Laboratory InformationManagement Systems (LIMS)
Collect, prepare, and analyze samples, including cleaning glassware andmaintaining laboratory hygiene
Participate in lab quality programs and troubleshoot non-conformance trends
Location and other key details: You will work out of our Edmonton refinery in Sherwood Park, located at 801Petroleum Way
The shift schedule is a 4 day a week with the requirement to work one weekendday every 5 weeks. with the potential for extended work. Hours will be basedon business needs
This position is a unionized, overtime eligible position
Being in a laboratory, there is a significant risk of exposure to chemicals
The environment requires the use of PPE; safety boots, safety glasses,respiratory equipment, safety gloves, hearing protection, and specializedsafety equipment (clothing, smocks, face shields). Must be able to climbstairs/ ladders and lift up to 50 lbs
