Reporting to the Settlement & Integration Manager, a Settlement Facilitator is responsible for ensuring quality service in settlement and orientation services to clients.

Job Responsibilities

- Provide settlement assistance to individuals and families i.e. orientation, information, referrals, connect with community etc.
- Facilitate information sessions for individual and client groups
- Maintain up to date knowledge of programs and services available at WIS and in the community to support clients to allow appropriate referrals
- Develop partnerships with service providers to effectively link clients with appropriate community services
- Manage a caseload of clients with diverse needs
- Stay informed on current resources, trends, changes and services gaps in the community
- Consider complexity of cases and individual workload to determine assignments
- Empower clients to become self-sufficient and respect professional boundaries
- Maintain accurate records of services and provide reporting to management as required
- Create an inspiring,



engaging and collaborative atmosphere within teams and other WIS departments to achieve collective goals and deliver quality service to clients
- Engage in professional development activities to remain current in the field
- Provide management with operational support as required

Qualifications

- Ability to manage client caseloads and maintain confidentiality
- Working knowledge of community resources
- Ability to work with various levels of government
- Self starter able to work independently and as part of a team
- Creative thinking and excellent interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and database management
- Solid proficiency and ability to communicate in English
- Possess a valid Manitoba Driver's Licence and access to reliable transportation
- First Aid Certification
- Provide a clear Criminal Record, Child Abuse Registry Check, Adult Abuse Registry Check, Vulnerable Sector Check and Driver Abstract; where required
- Ability to work collaboratively with management, employees, and community stakeholders in a diverse environment
