About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Data Scientist to join their advanced analytics team in Kimberley . This role is focused on leveraging large datasets to extract actionable insights, build predictive models, and drive data-informed decision-making within the banking sector. You will work on challenging projects related to customer behavior, risk assessment, fraud detection, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement machine learning models for predictive analytics, classification, and clustering.

- Analyze large, complex datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities for business improvement.

- Design and execute A/B tests and experiments to validate hypotheses and measure impact.

- Collaborate with business stakeholders to define analytical requirements and translate business problems into data science solutions.

Requirements

- Master's or PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.

- 5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist, with a strong focus on banking or financial services.

- Expertise in programming languages such as Python or R and associated data science libraries.

- Proficiency with SQL and experience working with large datasets and databases.

- Strong understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, and data mining techniques.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills for effectively conveying complex results.
