Position Vacancy: Operating Room
Position: Temporary Part TimeRegistered Nurse
Hours of Work: Days, Evenings and Weekend
Location: WRHN @ Midtown (formerly Grand River Hospital, KW Campus)
To incorporate the knowledge and skills necessary to function within the job description of Registered Nurse - Operating Room. Contributes to ensuring there is a safe environment to patients, staff and visitors.
Current registration and in good standings with the College of Nurses of Ontario
2 years’ of Operating Room experience preferred
Familiar with Operating Room Workload Measurement
Familiar with standards, policies, procedures and physician protocols for the Operating Room
Familiar with care of the perioperative patients of all ages




Can meet physical demands of standing, lifting and being on call
Ability to deal with physiologically/psychosocially stressed patients in an active, high turnover area
Solid interpersonal, communication and collaborative skills required to interact with patients, health professionals, other service providers and families essential Good attendance record required
