Our client, a well-established Quebec insurer with over 100 years of success, is continuing its growth and is seeking an Underwriting Supervisor, Personal Lines Insurance to lead and support its underwriting team in Drummondville.

This leadership role offers the opportunity to contribute directly to the success of a growing organization by overseeing underwriting operations, mentoring staff, and helping shape the future of the personal lines insurance portfolio.

Your Role
As an Underwriting Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

Coordinating all underwriting activities, including new business submissions, renewals, and policy changes submitted by agents;

Supervising underwriting operations by guiding risk analysis, selection, and pricing decisions, particularly for complex cases, while ensuring sound portfolio management;

Collaborating with the General Manager, Sales, and Service teams to establish and execute the strategic direction of the personal lines insurance division;

Leading, coaching, and developing team members through ongoing support, knowledge sharing, and a collaborative work workplace;

Enhancing underwriting practices by developing and optimizing standards,



processes, and tools to improve consistency, quality, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

Minimum of five (5) years of experience in personal lines property and casualty insurance;

Previous leadership or team management experience is considered a strong asset;

Strong leadership and team-building skills;

Customer-focused mindset with excellent communication abilities;

Sound judgment, analytical thinking, and decision-making skills.
