Duties
- Safely operate a 5‑ton truck to deliver appliances to residential and commercial locations
- Load and unload appliances using appropriate moving techniques and equipment such as dollies and forklifts when necessary
- Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately, on time, and in excellent condition
- Communicate effectively with customers to confirm delivery details, answer questions, and provide friendly service
- Conduct pre‑trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with transportation regulations
- Assist with warehouse tasks including moving inventory, organizing stock, and preparing goods for delivery
- Maintain detailed logs of deliveries, vehicle maintenance, and any incidents during shifts
Experience
- Proven experience driving commercial trucks or similar heavy vehicles, preferably with a focus on appliance or freight delivery
- Strong moving skills with the ability to handle heavy appliances safely and efficiently
- Forklift certification or experience operating forklifts is highly desirable but not compulsory
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
- Prior warehouse experience is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with inventory handling and safety procedures
- Ability to perform heavy lifting regularly while maintaining safety standards
