Yan Muirhead LLP is a fast-paced litigation law firm, based in Vancouver, BC and we are looking to expand! We are a small team where we mix professionalism with a fun and welcoming atmosphere. We’re looking for a senior paralegal that is warm, approachable and has a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

- Drafting correspondence, pleadings, and legal documents
- Assisting the lawyers with preparation for court hearings and trials
- Managing files throughout all stages of the legal process and ensuring all deadlines are met
- Assisting with court filings in Small Claims, Supreme Court, and Court of Appeal
- Preparing LTSA forms and completing filings with the LTO
- Reviewing documents for production, and using our e-discovery software, Everlaw for preparing lists of documents




- Maintaining the court calendar and the b/f system
- Additional tasks as they arise

Qualifications

- Paralegal certificate/diploma
- Minimum of 5 years of working as a commercial litigation paralegal
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Time management skills and the ability to work independently

This is an in-office position based in Vancouver, British Columbia
