Position Overview
Correctional Service Canada (CSC) is seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient CMMS Maximo Migration Specialist to support the migration of CSC's Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) from IBM Maximo 7.6 to Maximo Application Suite (MAS) 9 .

Reporting to the CSC's National Maintenance Specialist, the successful candidate will serve as a key liaison between CSC's Engineering and Maintenance Branch, internal Information Technology (IT) specialists, project consultants, and other stakeholders involved in the migration initiative.

This role requires a unique blend of asset management system expertise, project coordination, technical analysis, and stakeholder engagement skills to ensure a successful transition to MAS 9 while supporting CSC's operational and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities
The CMMS Maximo Migration Specialist will:

Act as the primary liaison between CSC Engineering and Maintenance, CSC IT specialists, consultants, IBM, and other project stakeholders.

Support the planning, coordination, and execution of the migration from Maximo 7.6 to MAS 9.

Analyze business, maintenance, and technical requirements and translate them into actionable migration activities.

Prepare technical responses, briefing materials, reports, recommendations, and decision documents.

Assist in the development and maintenance of a comprehensive migration “Build Book”, including system configurations, workflows, integrations, business rules, and testing requirements.





Support the design and implementation of a structured change request and change management process to govern system modifications and enhancements.

Coordinate and track project activities, issues, risks, dependencies, and action items.

Support data validation, cleansing, migration testing, and user acceptance testing activities.

Assist with troubleshooting and resolution of issues arising during migration and implementation.

Document business processes, system requirements, procedures, and lessons learned.

Facilitate meetings, workshops, and consultations with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Provide advice regarding IT governance, documentation, and compliance considerations applicable within the federal government environment.

Support post-migration stabilization and transition activities as required.

Essential Qualifications
Education

Post-secondary education in information technology, engineering, business administration, project management, asset management, or a related field, or an acceptable combination of education, training, and experience.

Experience

Experience working with IBM Maximo 7.6 and/or Maximo Application Suite (MAS) 9 . (Preference may be given to candidates with experience in both versions).

Experience supporting CMMS, Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), or asset lifecycle management systems.

Experience coordinating projects involving multiple technical and business stakeholders.

Experience preparing technical documentation, reports, procedures, or system specifications.





Experience supporting software implementation, upgrade, migration, or transformation initiatives.

Experience facilitating discussions between technical specialists and business users.

Technical Knowledge

Working knowledge of:

CMMS/EAM business processes

Change management principles

Configuration management and system documentation practices

Experience using:

dBeaver

MXLoader

Understanding of database structures, data validation, and troubleshooting techniques.

Knowledge of federal government IT governance and project delivery processes.

Abilities

Ability to analyze and interpret technical information.

Ability to prepare explicit and concise technical and executive-level documentation.

Ability to coordinate multiple priorities and stakeholders simultaneously.

Ability to identify risks and propose practical solutions.

Ability to work independently with limited supervision.

Asset Qualifications
The following would be considered assets:

Experience supporting Maximo implementations within the Government of Canada.

Knowledge of Treasury Board policies, directives, standards, and guidance related to information technology projects and change management.

Experience with system integrations, APIs, or enterprise applications.

Certification in project management, change management, asset management, or related disciplines.

Experience working within a maintenance, facilities management, engineering, or asset management environment.
