Position: Educational Assistant

Location: FNSS

Status: Part Time Term Certain Appointment- FTE .8214(5hrs & 45 mins daily) The Starting wage for this position is $26.34/hr

Commencement Date: ASAP, to October 30, 2026 or upon return of incumbent with June 24, 2027 being latest possible end date.

Education Assistants work to support our priority students with a variety of learning and/or social, emotional, and behavioural needs, as well as provide general supervision in the school. Applicants should have an inclusive, positive, and supportive attitude; be willing to learn; have a adaptable and growth mindset; identify and work with student strengths; and a desire to help each student find a pathway to success.



Applicants must be willing to work with any assigned student in a variety of school settings, and able to support students for success in all subject areas. May need to participate in swimming program.

Qualifications

Secondary School graduation.

Previous experience in working with children.

Ability to organize work effectively.

Ability to communicate effectively with students and staff.

Ability to handle and maintain all information with a high degree of confidentiality.

Equivalent combination of training and experience.

Familiarity with Indigenous culture is an asset.

Clear Criminal Record Check.
