Position Summary:



We are seeking an IT Systems Administrator to join our internal IT team in Langley, BC, supporting employees and core IT systems across the organization. This entry-level role is ideal for someone with foundational IT knowledge who is eager to learn, grow, and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic internal IT environment. The successful candidate will support a globally connected workforce across North America and international offices, gaining exposure to cloud infrastructure, virtualization, networking, automation, cybersecurity, and enterprise systems.

Position Duties:

Provide first line support for desktops, laptops, peripherals, and user accounts

Support Windows workstations and basic Linux tasks

Assist with Active Directory / Entra user and group management

Maintain and support basic network and VPN issues

Assist with Cisco networking equipment and pfSense / OPNsense firewalls

Support virtual machines in VMware and Proxmox environment

Build and maintaining automation scripts in Linux and Powershell

Document issues, fixes, and standard procedures

Minimum Experience & Qualifications:

Exposure to Azure and GCP cloud platforms

Understanding of networking (IP, DNS, DHCP, IPSEC, routing etc)

Familiarity with Windows 10/11 and Linux operating systems

General PC hardware and software troubleshooting skills





Introductory experience or coursework with AD, firewalls and virtualization

Robust willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment

Minimum 1-2 years of related experience, internship experience, or relevant technical education.

Preferred Qualifications:

Exposure to Intune, or Cisco networking

At DeSimone Consulting Engineering, we're committed to transparency - especially when it comes to compensation. The salary range listed reflects what we believe, in good faith, is a fair and competitive range for this role based on the market and location.

The hourly hiring range for this role is anticipated to be $29.00 - $36.00 dependent upon experience and qualifications. Most candidates are typically hired near the midpoint of the range, ensuring a balanced and equitable approach across our team.

That said, we recognize exceptional talent. In cases where a candidate brings significantly more experience or specialized expertise than required, we may consider an offer toward the higher end of the range. We're excited you're considering DeSimone and look forward to learning more about you.
