Are you an experienced skilled Labourer looking for an opportunity to work on a major mine life expansion project? Ledcor is hiring skilled and motivated Labourers to support a significant expansion project near Logan Lake, BC. In this role, you’ll work alongside our earthworks, heavy equipment, and carpentry crews, providing hands-on support to keep construction activities moving safely and efficiently.

We’re looking for individuals with experience in heavy civil construction, earthworks, or pipeline projects who aren't afraid to get their hands dirty and take pride in being a reliable member of the crew.

Essential Responsibilities

Provide general labour support to earthworks, heavy equipment, and carpentry crews

Act as a spotter for heavy equipment operators, helping ensure the safe movement and operation of equipment around workers, structures, excavations, and other site hazards

Assist Heavy Equipment Operators with earthworks activities including excavation, backfilling, grading, and material placement

Support carpenters with concrete and formwork activities, including moving materials, site preparation, stripping forms, and general cleanup

Assist with excavation activities and work around trenches and other active earthworks areas

Install and maintain barricades, signage, fencing, and other work-area controls as required

Perform hand digging, shovelling, raking, compacting, and other physical construction activities

Assist with the placement and movement of construction materials, tools, and equipment

Operate small hand and power tools as required

Maintain clean and organized work areas

Identify and communicate site hazards to supervisors and crew members

Follow directions from supervisors, equipment operators, carpenters, and other trades

Maintain Ledcor’s high standards for safety, quality, and productivity

Qualifications

Previous experience working as a Labourer on heavy civil, earthworks, pipeline, mining,



or industrial construction projects

Experience spotting for heavy equipment is strongly preferred

Familiarity with excavation, backfill, grading, compaction, and general earthworks activities is an asset

Experience supporting carpentry, concrete, or formwork crews is an asset

Ability to understand and follow hand signals, radio communication, and directions from Heavy Equipment Operators

Experience using common construction hand and power tools

Physically capable of performing demanding work, including lifting, carrying, shovelling, and working on uneven terrain

Must be able to provide valid government-issued photo identification

Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing

Valid CSTS-09, CSTS-2020, or CSO ticket

Must successfully complete all required project-specific online orientations

Work Conditions

Experienced applicants that reside locally and in the surrounding areas will be given priority

Work schedule: 14 days on, 7 days off

Day shift and night shift opportunities available

Extended health benefits provided through CLAC

Weekly payment of wages

Travel allowance and Living Out Allowance (LOA) provided for those eligible

Compensation
$27.06 - $40.58 per hour

This is the applicable wage range for this position. Individuals will be assigned a base wage within this range based on trade certification and/or apprenticeship level, industry experience, and work location.

Remote, site-based positions may be eligible for additional incentives including but not limited to travel and accommodation allowances.
