Site Description: The Kingston Frontenac Public Library (KFPL) was established in 1998 through the amalgamation of the Kingston Public Libraryand the Frontenac County Library.KFPL serves those that link inthe City of Kingston and Frontenac County in Ontario, Canada. The Library regularly welcomes visitors from outside of this region. The KFPL has a Library Board of appointees and representatives from Kingston City Council and Frontenac County Council.
Position: Temporary Full-Time Security Guard - Calvin Part Library
Site: 88 Wright Cres, Kingston, ON K7L4T9
Pay Rate: $22.80/hourly
Shift: Monday to Tuesday 16:00 - 20:00 Saturday 09:00 - 17:00

Job Description: Proactive & reactive security patrols
Majority of shift will be spent conducting exterior patrols
Response to incidents
Enforce site rules and regulations
Report writing and note taking
Daily shift reports
Access Control
Investigate routine incidents
Additional Duties as Assigned
Job Requirements: Valid Security License for Ontario
Valid Standard First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor)
Able to stand for up to 6-8 hours per shift
Able to complete extensive patrolling of site
Fluent English communication (oral and written) required
Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)




Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position. You will be required to attend in-person training at the Kingston office to complete the certification
Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite; however, Paladin will cover all the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
Legally authorized to work in Canada
Certification Requirements (All) First Aid, CPR Level C
Valid Ontario Security License
