Job Title: Cleaner - Lead Hand

Location: Victoria, BC

About the Role:

What you'll be doing:

Perform cleaning duties and ensure facilities are cleaned to the best of the team's ability

Lead and coordinate the work of cleaners on shift

Follow pre-set policies, guidelines, and rules to maintain a safe working environment.

Inspect sites to ensure established safety and cleanliness standards are met

Recommend and communicate to Supervisors to arrange for additional services as necessary

Training new cleaning staff

Provide excellent customer service to represent Alpine in professional manners.

Operate cleaning equipment such as: auto scrubbers, carpet cleaners, high dusting equipment, Etc.

Driving a tractor to haul garbage away

Enhanced cleaning as per work orders when requested

Additional tasks assigned by Manager

You have:

A minimum of 2 years of cleaning experience in a commercial setting required

Must hold a valid Driver's License





Experience operating a Tractor is considered an asset

Experience operating an auto scrubber, carpet cleaner, and high dusting equipment is considered a strong asset, but not required

Motivation and a willingness to work and learn

Strong time management skills in order to ensure all work is completed by the end of shift

Ability to take initiative to determine and complete necessary tasks, even with minimal supervision

Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team

Physically able to reach, stretch, bend, and walk during daily routine

Must be able to pass a background check
