We are looking for Software Quality Assurance Co-op students to support our QE team in ensuring the highest standards of software quality. The position is focused exclusively on QE tasks. As a co-op, you will be responsible for testing software applications to identify defects and ensure the functionality meets the requirements and expectations.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct manual testing of software applications to ensure functionality, performance, and usability meet the required standards.
Create, execute, and document test cases and test plans based on project specifications and requirements.
Identify, report, and track defects in the software using our defect tracking system.
Collaborate with developers, project managers,



and other QA team members to ensure a smooth and efficient testing process.
Participate in team meetings and provide input on quality assurance processes and practices.
Assist in the preparation of test data and perform regression testing as needed.
Verify that fixes are correctly implemented by retesting issues and ensuring resolution.
Maintain thorough documentation for testing activities and results.
Automating, maintaining and executing tests in a timely manner.
Running and analyzing automated tests
Ability to code in languages like Python, C#
Experience with tools like Playwright, Selenium, Nunit, Postman
Familiar with CI/CD integration for automated pipelines
Knowledge of non-functional requirements, including performance, stability, supportability, extensibility etc.
Uses and stays current with AI tools for quality engineering.
Ideally, has working knowledge of at least some of the following: Data Lakehouse
Kubernetes
Helm
Checkmk
Cloud platforms like AWS

Has a technical mindset, for example: Uses AI for efficiency and productivity in daily tasks
Experienced with scripting or programming
Experienced with API's
Experienced with system configuration and networking
Experienced with data collection and management

Requirements
Enrollment in a recognized post-secondary program (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering).
Strong attention to detail and a passion for ensuring quality in software products.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work well both independently and in a team-oriented environment.
Prior experience in manual software testing or quality assurance (preferred but not required).




Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies is an asset.
Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new tools and technologies.
A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a keen interest in software quality.
Gain hands-on experience in software testing and quality assurance processes.

How We Work
You will be expected to work in a remote/hybrid environment reporting to our Kanata, Ontario location 2 or more times per week.
