Are you analytical with experience in risk analysis and financial markets?

Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Risk Analyst-Counterparty Credit Risk. The Risk Analyst will support the Credit Exception Management team within the Market Risk and Counterparty Analytics division, focusing on analyzing, monitoring, and reporting on risk exposures related to counterparty credit risk. This position involves collaboration with multiple internal stakeholders to ensure accurate measurement and control of risk, compliance with credit limits, and continuous process improvement to support the bank’s risk management objectives.

Pay rate range (CAD): $46.47/hr - $55.77/hr

Responsibilities

Manage Counterparty Credit Risk by investigating and escalating credit excesses at the facility level

Generate accurate reports on risk exposures according to reporting guidelines

Measure, aggregate, and analyze portfolio risks within approved CAIRO counterparty limits

Monitor risk violations and elevate issues in a timely manner

Document and track late or missing reports, ensuring compliance with standards

Lead projects to enhance operational efficiencies and reporting processes

Implement infrastructure changes related to new or revised policies or procedures

Maintain internal controls and ensure documentation aligns with governance standards

Collaborate closely with front office traders, credit risk teams, audit, and technology groups

Conduct ad-hoc analyses of metrics, exposures,



and transactions to support decision-making

Stay informed on financial derivative risk principles, including modeling and valuation issues

Desired Skill-Set

Strong knowledge of financial products such as derivatives and bonds

Experience with counterparty credit risk and capital markets

Proven ability working with complex vendor systems

Skills in impact assessments, requirements drafting, and testing

Investigative mindset with high attention to detail and analytical skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks

Nice to Have

Previous experience in risk management roles

Working knowledge of SQL, VBA, Python, or AI tools
