The Role

Underwrite a commercial renewal book of business, varying in size

Apply effective pricing and coverage in accordance with company guidelines and underwriting authority limits

Ability to underwrite products and develop unique underwriting solutions

Ability to grow and maintain business relationships with broker partners

Assess and evaluate risk quality and implement risk management recommendations





Job Qualifications

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Strong analytical and negotiation skills

Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time and meet deadlines

Professional and personable

Self-motivated and driven to achieve company results

Ability to work well independently and as part of a team

Education and Experience

Post-secondary education an asset

CIP designation or working towards is an asset

Minimum 3 years' experience working as a Commercial Underwriter
