KTI Utility Services is thrilled to announce a project in the City of New Westminster and are seeking a self-starting individual to add to the electric meter installation team! If you consider yourself to be an independent worker, with a great attitude, that loves to interact with customers, then this job is for you!

The position involves strong mechanical aptitude and a good understanding of electric principles.

What’s in it for you?

Full‑time employment, 40hr/week average, with EI and CPP deductions

Salary: Base of $56/hr + Piece Rate Bonuses

Location: New Westminster, BC

Contract Length: 3 months (with possible project extensions)

Schedule: Monday-Friday, Saturday rotations

Business KMs paid at $.68 cents/KM, paid monthly

What would your day look like as a Technician with KUS?

Installation and service work related to electric

Installation of electric meters will be performed 10% outdoors, 90% indoor

Recording old and new electric meter readings

Coordinates installation scheduling and meets quality/quantity and safety requirements

Digital data entry through an Electronic Work Order on a handheld device

Self management of assigned accounts to completion

Working in compliance with Health and Safety Policy/Procedures

Communicate updates to clients with top‑notch customer service





Any other duties which may be assigned to you from time to time by your manager Who is our ideal candidate?

Qualified Electric Meter Technician from recognized Utility

Familiarity with hand tools and power tools

Mechanical aptitude and good report writing skills

Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills

Able to stand on feet, bend or stoop for a prolonged period of time (10% outdoors, 90% indoors)

Able to work with minimal supervision

Previous electric meter installation experience with complex industrial meters is required Mandatory Requirements:

Qualified Electric Meter Technician

Valid driver’s license (N minimum) and a reliable vehicle (with a valid business insurance)

Car Insurance: Business Use/Business Endorsement required, $1 million liability

Mandatory clean criminal background check and driver record/abstract
