As the Rural Site Manager for Viking Health Centre, you will provide leadership to an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals dedicated to delivering high-quality care to Albertans. Description

Working closely with the Rural Lead, you will support interdisciplinary collaboration, facilitate change management, and promote team development while ensuring safe, effective, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities include operational and strategic planning, resource management, quality and safety initiatives, staff engagement and performance management, and fostering strong relationships with physicians, community partners, and other stakeholders to support the delivery of high-quality healthcare services.

Required Qualifications: A post-secondary degree in a health profession, health administration, leadership or other comparable degree Registration with an Alberta Regulated Health Profession, as appropriate. A demonstrated transparent pattern of professional development (e.g. continuing education courses)

Additional Required Qualifications: Demonstrated ability to manage change and create innovative solutions for complex and diverse issues. Ability to manage diverse human, financial and physical resources within a complex environment. Strong organizational skills, client-focused orientation, and commitment to providing quality services.

Experience in collaborating with physicians and other health care professionals. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as demonstrated effective problem solving Demonstrated ability and comfort with decision-making responsibilities, coaching and teaching, and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Ability to foster relationships to further the effectiveness of both the site(s) managed and programs contained within Knowledge and understanding of Collective agreements and working with a unionized workforce Discretion with sensitive situations, data, and personnel Ability to work hard, have fun & contribute to a dynamic, successful healthcare team

Preferred Qualifications: Previous leadership experience within a rural healthcare environment is strongly preferred. Experience overseeing Acute Care, Emergency, Labour & Delivery, Surgical and/or Endoscopy services, including staffing, budgeting, quality improvement, and change management initiatives, is considered an asset.
