Ottawa Rapid FC

Montreal

This Full time on site position offers great opportunities for career growth.

Ottawa

Rapid FC is a founding member of the Northern Super League — Canada's first professional women's soccer league — alongside clubs in Halifax, Montréal, Toronto, Calgary, Vancouver, and Winnipeg (joining in 2027). We're part of something historic, and in year two we're just getting started.

At Ottawa

Rapid FC, we believe purpose and performance go hand in hand. We push for excellence, chase continuous improvement, and hold ourselves to a high standard — all while staying rooted in the values and community that make this club what it is. If that sounds like your kind of place, we'd love to hear from you.

Social media is where most people will experience Ottawa Rapid FC before they ever set foot in TD Place. It's a fact. That first impression matters. So does the second, and the third, and the one at 11 p.m. on a Tuesday when someone stumbles across a clip of a goal and decides they want to know more.

This role helps keep that relationship going, day in and day out.

The Role You'll run the day-to-day social media operation for Ottawa Rapid FC across all platforms: the content calendar, the real-time storytelling on matchday, the asset library, and the steady stream of content that keeps the feed alive between fixtures. You'll work alongside our videographers and photographers and coordinate closely with the Player Care Coordinator, Digital Marketing, Community Marketing, and Partnership Marketing leads so every piece of content lands where it should. This is a hands‑on execution role.

You'll keep the system running, keep things on schedule, and keep the feed moving.

What You'll Actually Do

Keep the Content Operation Running

Help maintain the social media content calendar: scheduling, updating, and keeping everyone aligned on what's going out and when

Coordinate shot lists and required deliverables with the videographer and photographers on matchday and beyond, distributing briefs and tracking post‑production timelines

Keep the content archive and asset library organized so everything stays findable and on‑brand

Work within the brand guidelines and channel-specific templates developed by our creative agency, applying them consistently and flagging gaps or edge cases to the manager when the template doesn't fit the moment

Make Matchday Count

Lead the social content operation on matchdays from first whistle to final post

Assist the photo and video crew in real time so nothing gets missed

Work with the Digital Marketing lead on content distribution and performance tracking

Deliver content assets to the Communications team within agreed timelines post‑match

Help Build the Story Between Matches

Capture and produce the player, community, and culture content that keeps audiences engaged when the team isn't playing

Create content that speaks to each of our four fan personas, not just a generic audience

Spot the moments, stories, and voices worth amplifying and flag them early

Coordinate Across the Marketing Team

Work with the Community Marketing lead to produce content that supports programming, outreach, and fan engagement

Support the Partnership Marketing lead on sponsored content that earns its place in the feed rather than interrupting it

Coordinate with the Player Care Coordinator on athlete content capture so players know what's being asked of them and when

Loop in the Digital Marketing lead early so distribution and creative stay aligned

Flag content needs and production constraints clearly and early so everyone can plan around them

Help Track the Numbers

Pull performance data across platforms and share what you're seeing

Contribute to regular performance reporting

Notice what's working, be honest about what isn't, and bring it to the table

What We're Looking For

Experience A minimum of 2 years in social media content creation, ideally in sports, entertainment, or community-driven brands

Comfortable working alongside photographers and videographers in the field A portfolio or samples that show range: matchday energy, storytelling, and a point of view

Platform expertise across Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, and YouTube

Sound editorial instincts and a willingness to learn what makes content land

Must be able to work in Canada unsponsored

Skills

Comfortable on a shoot and open to creative direction

Comfortable working in fast-moving, unscripted environments A working grasp of content performance metrics and eagerness to build on it

Able to juggle competing priorities without letting anything fall through the cracks

Familiarity with scheduling and asset management tools

You're a Good Fit If:

You can work within a defined visual system and keep it consistent rather than needing to build from scratch

You care about the soccer, not just the content

You're resourceful and comfortable in a lean, fast-moving environment

You get that sponsored content and authentic content don't have to be opposites

Success Looks Like A social presence that feels like Ottawa Rapid FC, not a template A matchday crew that feels supported and delivers

Cross‑functional partners who can count on you

Audience growth that reflects genuine engagement, not just reach

Sponsored content that fans don't skip

Why You'll Love Working Here

This is a full-time role with a competitive salary and strong benefits — but that's just the start. You'll be part of something bigger: the growth of women's professional soccer in Ottawa, at a moment when the sport is capturing the attention of a city hungry for it. Your work will matter.

Thousands of fans connect with this club in ways that mean something to them, and you'll have a direct hand in shaping that experience. And through all of it, you'll be doing it alongside a team that shows up for each other.
