Unit Clerk – Temporary Part-Time

$30.50-$32.95 per hour based on experience

POSITION SUMMARY The Unit Clerk facilitates efficient unit operation and coordinates effective patient flow. The Unit Clerk performs various clerical duties such as patient registration, patient transfer, patient discharge and provides support to the nursing units.

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Certifications, Experience, Licensure) Required: Graduate of a Nursing Unit Clerk Program, Medical Office Administrator Program or equivalent

Preferred: Previous experience as a Unit Clerk

COMPETENCIES/TECHNICAL:

Proficiency in computer software applications – Microsoft Outlook; Meditech (Order Entry, Pharmacy,



Admissions, PCS, EMR; Policy and Procedures Platform; Learning Management System; Critical Bed Board, Repatriation Tool, and Non-Urgent Transfer booking site

Proficiency in use of Community Wide Scheduler (CWS)

Proficiency in keyboarding (40 wpm)

Knowledge of Emergency Code protocols

Knowledge of union contracts and call-in procedures

Wages: $30.50-$32.95 per hour based on experience
