The Supervisor Respiratory Care is proficient in all aspects of Respiratory Care and possesses the ability to utilize effective management skills.

Responsibilities Include

- Supports the Respiratory Care Manager in a supervisory capacity, managing team member and patient care issues as well as physician concerns.
- Assists the manager with hiring, performance review, coaching, counseling and termination.

Responsible for ensuring adequate staffing, team member competency and policy review.

- Ensures regulatory requirements are met and establishes goals for process improvement.
- Acts as a role model for others
- Reports to a Manager over multiple departments or multiple campuses. Has greater than 10 direct reports.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Certifications and Licensures

Required

:

- RRT (Respiratory Therapy License)
- Active NBRC Credential for RRT
- CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
- NRP (Neonatal) - within 6 months
- ACLS (Cardiovascular) - within 6 months
- PALS (Pediatric) -

Preferred

Education

Required

:

- Technical Respiratory Therapy
- Associate's Respiratory Therapy -

Preferred

Experience

- Acute Care / Respiratory

- NICU and Pediatric experience is preferred.
