Role Description This is a full-time Autocad Designer (Civil 3D) role based in Guelph, ON with a hybrid work arrangement, combining in-office collaboration with some work-from-home flexibility.

The Autocad

Designer will produce and revise detailed civil drawings and models using AutoCAD Civil 3D, including site plans, grading plans, underground utilities, roadways, and municipal infrastructure layouts. The role involves preparing construction drawings, coordinating with engineers and project managers, and incorporating design comments and markups. The designer will assist in space planning and layout optimization, ensure drawings meet applicable standards and regulations,



and maintain organized drawing files and documentation. Daily tasks also include communicating with team members, supporting project delivery schedules, and contributing to quality assurance and continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong drawing skills, including experience with Municipal Permitting Drawings and Construction Drawings.
- Candidates should possess capabilities in Space Planning and layout design for civil and site development projects.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and related CAD tools for civil infrastructure design.
- Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Drafting, Architecture, or a related field.
- Experience in municipal, land development, or infrastructure projects is an asset.
- Knowledge of applicable municipal standards, codes, and engineering best practices.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a hybrid work environment.
