Position Title: Bus Driver

Regent Christian Academy Society serves children and families across our campus schools, online school, and early learning programs. As a central division of the Society, Regent Christian Academy (RCA) is our flagship campus-based school, serving the community through our Sullivan and Cloverdale campuses in Surrey, BC. We bring the RCAS mission to life through a vibrant, in-person learning community where students from Preschool through Grade 12 engage in rigorous academics, competitive athletics, and the fine arts. At RCA, we are dedicated to fostering a safe and nurturing environment where classroom excellence and spiritual mentorship prepare students to lead and serve with integrity.

Reports to: Operations Manager or such other person as may be appointed by the Director.

Overview: Our Bus Drivers play a vital role in bringing this mission to life by ensuring students from Preschool through Grade 12 have a safe, nurturing, and reliable journey to and from their educational activities.

Key Responsibilities & Core Competencies:

- Safe Operation: Safely operate a school bus on assigned routes and schedules.
- Student Wellbeing: Ensure the safety and well-being of all students during transport.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Environment Management: Maintain order and enforce school bus safety rules.
- Professional Communication: Communicate professionally with students, parents, and school staff.
- Emergency Response:



Respond calmly and appropriately to emergencies or unexpected situations.

Compensation & Benefits:

- Pay: CA $23.00 to $31.00 hourly (based on experience)
- Benefits: Extended Health & Dental, Pension plan available upon eligibility.

Core Competencies, Qualifications & Requirements:

We are seeking dedicated, compassionate, and safety-minded individuals to join our transportation team.

- Valid BC Class 2 driver’s license.
- A clean driving record is required.
- Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings.
- Previous experience is preferred but not required; training is available.




- First Aid Level 1 certification (required; however, candidates may attend school-arranged sessions if they do not currently hold it).
