Call Handler - Social Housing

Location: West or North London

Salary: £17 per hour

Contract: Temporary to Permanent

Working Arrangement: Fully Office Based

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a Call Handler to join a busy Social Housing team based in West or North London.

This is a great opportunity for someone with robust customer service and communication skills who is confident handling a high volume of calls and supporting residents with their enquiries.

The role will initially be on a temporary basis, with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

- Handling a high volume of inbound calls from residents and customers
- Responding to queries in a professional and helpful manner
- Logging calls and updating customer records accurately
- Taking details of repairs, maintenance issues and service requests
- Liaising with internal teams and contractors to ensure enquiries are dealt with efficiently




- Providing regular updates to residents where required
- Escalating urgent or complex issues appropriately
- Maintaining accurate records on internal systems
- Delivering a high level of customer service at all times

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Previous experience in a call centre, customer service, contact centre or housing environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A professional and friendly telephone manner
- Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry skills
- The ability to remain calm and professional when dealing with challenging customers
- Good IT and administration skills
- The ability to work effectively in a busy, target-driven environment
- Previous Social Housing, Repairs or Property Services experience would be advantageous
