Role Description The Cloud SOC Specialist is a full-time remote role responsible for monitoring, securing, and maintaining Skan AI’s cloud environments and related infrastructure. Day-to-day work includes analyzing security events, managing alerts, and investigating incidents within cloud-based systems and services. The specialist will collaborate with engineering and operations teams to harden cloud configurations, implement security controls, and support integrations that protect data and workloads.

This role also involves creating and updating documentation, supporting compliance efforts, and continuously improving detection, response, and prevention capabilities across the cloud security operations landscape.





Qualifications

- Cloud infrastructure and operations skills, including experience with Infrastructure and Cloud Computing in modern cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, GCP).
- Ability to collaborate with engineering teams, including familiarity with Software Development practices and secure deployment workflows.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, including Troubleshooting complex cloud and security issues in distributed environments.
- Experience working on system and tool Integration within SOC environments, including security tooling and log management platforms.
- Knowledge of SOC processes, such as monitoring, incident response, threat detection, and vulnerability management.
- Understanding of security best practices, including identity and access management, network security, and data protection in the cloud.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote, cross-functional environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, or equivalent practical experience; relevant certifications (e.g., CCSP, CISSP, GIAC, or cloud provider security certifications) are a plus.
