Job Overview

Maxel Manufacturing Inc. is seeking an experienced and reliable CNC Machine Operator to operate CNC machines used in the production of precision custom-manufactured components.

The selected candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines, monitoring machining processes, inspecting manufactured components, and ensuring that parts are produced in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.

Responsibilities

- Set up and operate CNC milling machines and/or CNC lathes.
- Load raw materials, components, vises, fixtures, and tooling onto CNC machines.
- Read and understand engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and manufacturing instructions.
- Select and install appropriate cutting tools, tool holders, fixtures, and workholding systems.
- Load and run CNC programs and verify machine setup before beginning production.
- Set and adjust work offsets, tool offsets, and cutting tools as required.
- Monitor machining processes to ensure proper machine operation and quality of manufactured parts.
- Inspect parts during the machining process using precision measuring instruments.
- Use calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, and other measuring instruments.
- Verify that finished components meet required dimensions and tolerances.
- Perform basic machine and tool offset adjustments when necessary.




- Identify worn or damaged cutting tools and replace them as required.
- Follow established machining, quality control, and safety procedures.
- Keep CNC machines and work areas clean and organized.
- Report problems with machines, tooling, equipment, or defective parts to the supervisor.
- Assist with basic machine maintenance and coolant monitoring as required.
- Work with production and Quality Control personnel to resolve manufacturing issues.
- Perform other machining and manufacturing-related duties as required.

Requirements

- High school education.
- Previous experience in CNC machining or working as a CNC Machine Operator is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Understanding of machining dimensions and tolerances.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments, including calipers and micrometers.
- Knowledge of CNC milling machines and/or CNC lathes.
- Basic knowledge of cutting tools, cutting speeds, feeds & speeds, and machining processes is an asset.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a manufacturing team.
- High level of attention to detail and commitment to the quality of manufactured parts.
- Valuable communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow workplace safety and quality control procedures.

Pay: $24.00-$32.00 per hour
