Madhatters Studios is a growing Lethbridge-based social media and marketing agency, and we're looking for a reliable, creative Content Capturer / Social Media Content Creator to join our team on a contract basis.

This role is primarily about getting the content. You'll visit local client businesses to capture high-quality photo and video content that our editing and strategy team can turn into reels, social posts, campaigns and other marketing assets.

We're looking for someone who understands social media, has a natural eye for content, and can walk into a business with a shot list or creative direction and confidently get what we need.

What you'll do:

- Attend scheduled content shoots at client locations in Lethbridge and surrounding area
- Capture vertical video and photography for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and other digital platforms
- Follow creative briefs, shot lists and strategic direction from the Madhatters team
- Look for additional organic content opportunities while on location
- Direct clients or staff on camera when needed
- Upload and organize raw footage promptly following shoots
- Communicate clearly with our team about completed shoots, missing assets or additional opportunities
- Occasionally capture events or time-sensitive content

We're looking for someone who:





- Has a robust eye for social-first photo and video
- Understands what makes short-form content engaging
- Is comfortable working independently at client locations
- Is professional and confident interacting with business owners and their teams
- Can take direction while also bringing their own creative instincts
- Is organized, dependable and able to meet deadlines
- Has reliable transportation within Lethbridge and surrounding area
- Has experience creating social media content; professional agency experience is an asset but not required

You don't need to be a professional videographer with a massive equipment setup. We care more about your eye, instincts, reliability and understanding of social media.

Compensation & Hours

This is a contractor position starting at $30/hour. Hours will vary depending on client needs and scheduled shoots, with the opportunity for the role to grow as Madhatters Studios continues to expand.

We're specifically looking for someone who wants to become a reliable part of our extended creative team rather than simply pick up the occasional one-off shoot.
