About the Role

Our client is looking for a meticulous and knowledgeable Cryptocurrency Compliance Officer to join their team in Kimberley. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all cryptocurrency-related operations adhere to relevant regulations, laws, and internal policies. Your expertise will be crucial in mitigating compliance risks, implementing robust AML/KYC procedures, and maintaining the integrity of our client's digital asset business. This position requires a strong understanding of both financial regulations and the unique landscape of the cryptocurrency industry.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement comprehensive compliance programs for cryptocurrency operations.
- Ensure adherence to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations.
- Monitor transactions for suspicious activity and report as required by law.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
- Stay updated on evolving cryptocurrency regulations and industry best practices.




- Liaise with regulatory bodies and internal/external auditors.
- Provide training to staff on compliance matters related to digital assets.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or a legal role, with at least 2 years focused on cryptocurrency or fintech.
- In-depth knowledge of AML/KYC regulations and procedures.
- Understanding of blockchain technology and the cryptocurrency market.
- Experience with compliance software and transaction monitoring tools.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
