About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Data Scientist specializing in machine learning to drive their genomics research initiatives, operating in a fully remote capacity. You will collaborate closely with a world-class team of bioinformaticians, geneticists, and clinicians to develop and deploy predictive models. Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement advanced machine learning models for genomic data analysis, including variant calling, imputation, and phenotype prediction.
- Design and execute data mining strategies to identify patterns and correlations within large-scale genomic datasets.
- Collaborate with domain experts to translate biological questions into data science problems.
- Build and maintain robust data pipelines for processing and analyzing genomic information.

Requirements

- Ph.D. or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Bioinformatics, or a related quantitative field.
- Proven experience as a Data Scientist with a strong focus on machine learning applications in biology or genomics.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with ML libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
- Experience working with large biological datasets, particularly genomic, transcriptomic, or proteomic data.
- Solid understanding of statistical methods and model evaluation techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills for remote collaboration.
