Duties
- Design and implement creative, age-appropriate lesson plans that promote active learning and curiosity
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom workplace that encourages positive social interactions
- Support children’s emotional well-being by modeling respectful communication and conflict resolution skills
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists to develop individualized education plans for children with special needs or disabilities
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and developmental milestones
- Utilize computer skills to document activities, communicate with families, and manage classroom resources effectively
- Lead classroom activities that enhance language development in English and French,
promoting bilingual learning when applicable
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings or similar environments
- Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in French is highly desirable
- Knowledge of childcare best practices and early childhood education principles
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special education needs is preferred
- Bilingual abilities to support diverse language learners are a plus
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to manage classroom dynamics efficiently
- Excellent organizational skills to plan lessons, track progress, and maintain classroom materials
- Proficiency in computer operation and basic software applications for documentation and communication purposes
- Ability to work collaboratively with families, colleagues, and specialists to support each child's development
- Time management skills to balance multiple responsibilities effectively
