:
Full-time 1.0 Educational Assistant position
Duties to commence as soon as possible and will continue until January 29, 2027, with the possibility of extension To provide support and assistance to diverse learners in a one-on-one setting, in small groups, and within the classroom
Qualifications and/or Assets
Experience/Background working with academic and/or behavioural needs
Ability to work one-on-one with a student in an inclusive environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive personality
Ability to formulate strong and healthy relationshipsWork harmoniously with teachers and other support staff
Flexibility to work in a variety of programs and assigned duties
Calm and patient approach to solving problems
Reliability and eager to learn would be considered an asset
Robust interpersonal skills and a positive personality
Willingness to work collaboratively in a team-oriented learning environment
Ability to demonstrate empathy, compassion, and patience
Background and/or Experience and/or training as an Educational Assistant would be considered an asset
