About the Role

Our client is seeking a energetic and results-oriented Electrical Engineering Manager to lead their team remotely from Kimberley or any other South African location. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of electrical engineering design, project execution, and team management. You will set the strategic direction for the department, ensure technical excellence, and foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.

This is a critical position for driving the company's technological initiatives and delivering high-quality electrical solutions across various projects, offering significant autonomy and impact in a remote setting.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, manage, and mentor a team of electrical engineers, providing guidance and performance feedback. Oversee the planning, design, and execution of electrical engineering projects from concept to completion. Establish and enforce departmental standards, procedures, and best practices for electrical design and implementation.

Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation effectively. Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, codes, and safety regulations.



Collaborate with senior management and other department heads to align engineering strategies with business objectives.

Requirements

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field. 12+ years of progressive experience in electrical engineering, with at least 4 years in a leadership or management role. Demonstrated experience in managing complex electrical engineering projects and multi-disciplinary teams. Strong understanding of power systems , control systems, and instrumentation.

Excellent strategic planning, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and remote leadership capabilities.
