Become an Electrician with the Township of Langley for a temporary position starting in late 2026. You will be integral to maintaining and upgrading electrical systems in municipals buildings.

From approximately October 19, 2026, to December 24, 2027, this full-time Electrician role includes a variety of skilled responsibilities within the Facilities Operations Department. You will leverage your journeyman experience and knowledge of electrical systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations while performing installations and repairs, making you a vital asset to our team.

Key Responsibilities:



• Install and maintain municipal electrical systems and fixtures • Repair backup generators and ensuring operational efficiency • Set up alarms and control systems for drainage pumps • Conduct accurate estimates for electrical materials needed • Assist during emergency situations related to electrical tasks

Requirements: • High school diploma and technical coursework • Journeyman experience in electrical systems • Familiarity with safety standards for electrical work • Proficient decision-making in emergency scenarios • Hold a BC Class 5 Driver's License and Electrical qualification
