About the Role

Our client is seeking a specialized Energy Storage Systems Specialist to contribute to their innovative projects in the Kimberley area. This role involves the technical design, integration, and optimization of battery energy storage systems (BESS) for various applications, including grid support and renewable energy integration. You will work collaboratively with engineering teams, project developers, and operational staff, adopting a hybrid work approach that blends remote technical analysis with essential on-site and in-office collaboration in Kimberley.

This position is key to advancing our client's capabilities in managing and deploying cutting-edge energy storage solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design and engineer battery energy storage systems (BESS), including component selection, system architecture, and performance modeling.

Oversee the integration of BESS with renewable energy sources (solar, wind) and the grid.

Develop control strategies and algorithms for BESS operation, optimization, and safety.

Conduct technical reviews, site assessments, and commissioning support for BESS installations.





Stay abreast of emerging energy storage technologies , market trends, and regulatory developments.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in energy storage systems design, development, or integration.

Strong understanding of battery chemistries, power electronics, and grid interconnection standards.

Experience with simulation tools and BESS control systems.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, effective in both remote technical work and collaborative team settings in Kimberley .
