About the Role: M1 Agency is looking for a Junior Designer with a keen eye, strong creative instincts and a genuine interest in design.

This is an opportunity to work across a wide range of projects and mediums. On any given week, you might contribute to a brand identity, website, campaign, presentation, social content, print piece or something completely different.

We aren’t looking for someone who already knows how to do everything. Technical skills can be taught. What is harder to teach is good taste, curiosity, attention to detail and an instinct for what makes something feel right.

You’ll work closely with our creative team, learning through real client work while gradually taking on more responsibility as your skills and confidence grow.

What You'll Do:

- Support the creative team across branding, digital, web, advertising, social, print and other client projects.
- Explore design concepts and translate ideas into thoughtful visual executions.
- Help develop layouts, graphics, presentations, digital assets and production-ready artwork.




- Work within established brands while learning how and when to push them creatively.
- Collaborate with designers, strategists, developers, writers and other members of the M1 team.
- Participate in creative reviews and learn how to present and talk about design decisions.
- Take feedback well and use it to make the work stronger.
- Prepare and organize files for digital, web and print production.
- Pay attention to the small things: typography, spacing, hierarchy, consistency and craft.
- Learn new tools, techniques and disciplines as projects require them.

What We’re Looking For:

Above all, we’re looking for someone with a strong design sense and the potential to become a great designer.

You should have

- A portfolio that demonstrates a positive eye for design, even if it is primarily student, personal or early-career work.
- A solid understanding of typography, composition, colour, hierarchy and visual communication.
- Curiosity about brands, advertising, websites, culture and the broader world of design.
- An ability to recognize great creative work and articulate why it works.
- Strong attention to detail.
- A willingness to experiment, ask questions and learn.




- The ability to take direction and constructive feedback without losing your own point of view.
- A collaborative attitude and comfort working on different kinds of projects.
- The ability to manage your time and stay organized across multiple assignments.

Technical Skills Required:

You don’t need to arrive knowing every tool we use.

Some familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign, is expected. Experience with Figma is an asset.

Beyond that, experience with motion, video, photography, web design, UI/UX, illustration, animation or other creative disciplines is great, but not required.

We’re more interested in how you see, think and approach design than how long your software list is. We’ll help with the technical skills along the way.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
