Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Bulldozer Operator to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating bulldozers and related heavy equipment to perform grading, site preparation, earthmoving, land clearing, and other construction activities. The ideal candidate demonstrates safe work practices, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with site supervisors and crew members.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate bulldozers safely and efficiently on construction and excavation sites.
- Perform grading, leveling, stripping topsoil, backfilling, and rough or finish site preparation.
- Read and interpret grade stakes, site plans, cut/fill requirements, and project specifications.
- Work closely with surveyors, supervisors, and equipment operators to achieve project goals.
- Conduct daily pre-trip inspections and complete equipment reports.
- Monitor equipment performance and report maintenance or repair requirements.
- Perform routine equipment cleaning and basic preventative maintenance.
- Follow all company safety policies, site-specific procedures, and applicable regulations.
- Maintain awareness of underground utilities, overhead hazards, and changing site conditions.
- Assist with other construction-related duties as required.

Qualifications

Required

- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.




- Previous experience operating bulldozers in construction, excavation, road building, or site development.
- Knowledge of grading, excavation, and earthmoving techniques.
- Ability to work safely in a quick-paced construction environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Preferred

- Heavy equipment operator certification or equivalent experience.
- Experience using GPS machine control and grade control systems.
- Experience operating additional heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, or graders.
- First Aid/CPR certification.
- Ontario Working at Heights certification

Physical Requirements

- Ability to sit and operate equipment for extended periods.
- Ability to climb in and out of heavy equipment safely.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs when required.
- Ability to work in dusty, noisy, and outdoor environments.

Working Conditions

- Full-time position.
- Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required.
- Projects may involve travel to various job sites.
- Work is performed primarily outdoors in all seasons.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 per hour
