Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of traditional Indian dishes, ensuring authentic flavors and presentation standards are met.
- Handle all aspects of food preparation, including chopping, marinating, seasoning, and assembling ingredients.
- Serve meals efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service and a positive attitude.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Manage food handling procedures carefully to prevent cross-contamination and ensure freshness.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying management of supplies needed.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to uphold the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.
Experience
- Proven experience in food preparation, particularly in Indian cuisine or similar culinary styles.
- Prior food service experience in a restaurant or catering setting is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of kitchen operations, including food handling, meal preparation, and cooking techniques.
- Familiarity with the food industry standards related to safety, sanitation, and quality control.
- Experience serving customers directly or working in a fast-paced environment is a plus.
- Strong understanding of food safety protocols and proper kitchen hygiene practices.
