About Eastern Mobile Sandblasting

Eastern Mobile Sandblasting provides on-site abrasive blasting and industrial coating services for clients across Cornwall and the surrounding area. We travel directly to job sites to strip, prep, and refinish equipment, structures, and vehicles — delivering professional surface preparation and coating work without the need for clients to transport their assets to a shop.

About the Role

We're growing our team and looking for a skilled Industrial Painter to join us. You'll travel to client sites to apply protective and finish coatings to metal equipment, structures, and vehicles following surface preparation. Experience with industrial painting or coatings is preferred, and pay will be based on experience level.

What You'll Do

- Apply primers, paints, and protective coatings to industrial equipment, structures, and vehicles using spray guns and other application equipment
- Select the correct coating type, mix ratios, and application method for each job and surface
- Prepare surfaces for painting, including masking, cleaning, sanding, and priming as needed
- Inspect surfaces before and after painting to ensure proper coverage, finish quality, and adhesion
- Monitor and control coating thickness, drying/curing conditions, and application technique
- Load, transport, and set up equipment safely at each job site
- Maintain and perform basic upkeep on spray equipment and the service vehicle
- Follow proper procedures for handling paints, solvents, thinners, and other coating materials
- Wear and maintain required PPE,



including respirators, protective suits, and eye/ear protection
- Communicate professionally with client staff in office
- Follow all safety protocols, including those for working around large equipment, compressed air systems, and airborne particulates

What We're Looking For
- Prior experience in industrial painting, spray coating, auto body refinishing, or similar trades work strongly preferred
- Familiarity with different coating systems (e.g., epoxies, polyurethanes, primers) an asset
- Comfortable with physical work, including standing, bending, lifting, and working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Reliable and punctual — able to travel to different client sites as scheduled
- Valid driver's license (required); clean driving record preferred
- Comfortable wearing respiratory protection and working with paints and coating materials
- Comfortable working around large equipment and machinery
- Team player who takes pride in a job well done
- Ability to follow safety guidelines and instructions closely
- Can work around Cornwall
