Oversee privacy and records management at the College of Family Physicians of Canada. This role focuses on compliance, risk management, and operational efficiency. Join CFPC as an Information Privacy Specialist, where you will support the Manager in fulfilling privacy compliance obligations and enhancing information practices.
This permanent, full time role includes auditing records, managing information lifecycle, and ensuring alignment with Canadian privacy laws including PIPEDA. Your expertise will shape the College’s commitment to transparency and responsible data management across departments. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead audits and assessments of records management
- Regularly review and enforce records retention policies
- Conduct privacy risk and impact assessments
- Advise departments on privacy-related inquiries
- Facilitate training and develop compliance resources Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in Information Governance or related field
- At least 3 years of experience in privacy management
- Required industry designation (CIPP/C or CAPP)
- Proficient in communication and editing
