Our client is seeking a highly organized and proactive Insurance Underwriting Assistant to support their underwriting team in Kimberley . This role is crucial in assisting underwriters with the processing of insurance applications, gathering necessary information, and performing administrative tasks to ensure smooth and effective underwriting operations. You will be the first point of contact for some inquiries, manage documentation, and help prepare risk assessments.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, efficient, and possesses excellent administrative skills, eager to learn and grow within the dynamic field of insurance underwriting.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist underwriters in processing new insurance applications and renewals.
- Gather required documentation and information from brokers, agents, and clients.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records in the underwriting system.
- Prepare summaries of risk information and basic risk assessments for underwriter review.
- Respond to general inquiries from internal and external stakeholders regarding application status.
- Manage filing systems, correspondence,



and other administrative duties to support the underwriting department.

Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college education or a relevant certificate is advantageous.
- Previous administrative or office support experience, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry .
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and data entry accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
