IT Project/Service Manager to lead Scrum delivery and operations support using Jira, Python, and project management processes - 17277

Location: Hybrid - Toronto

This role supports project delivery and operational coordination within a large-scale insurance setting. The position focuses on Scrum leadership, resource management, budget oversight, and aligning technical teams to deliver business application solutions. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams while supporting governance and operational processes including risk assessments, audit documentation, and recovery planning.

The team operates across onsite and offshore resources supporting both production and UAT activities.

Must Haves

- 2-4 years of Project Management within large-scale, multi-platform systems environments
- Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and Python
- Experience supporting Operations Management, risk assessments, audit documentation, and recovery planning
- Experience leading Scrum delivery, resource coordination, and budget oversight
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related technical field

Nice to Have

- PMP or PMI certification
- Re-insurance industry experience
- MBA or related advanced degree
- Computer technology or mathematical degree

Responsibilities

- Develop and manage project budgets, timelines, plans, and scope
- Coordinate technical teams to ensure project objectives and deliverables are met
- Partner with business stakeholders to define business requirements
- Lead developers in delivering software solutions aligned to business needs
- Facilitate User Acceptance Testing and rollout planning activities
- Prepare and present cost-benefit analyses and steering committee presentations
- Support online and batch operations across Production and UAT environments
