Creative Age Edmonton Fund Development Coordinator

Term: Contract March/April 2012 to December 2012

Reports to: Transition Team via the Edmonton Seniors Coordinating Council (ESCC) Executive Director

Goal: To support Creative Age Edmonton by developing strategies for growth and by working to meet the fund development objectives.

Short-Term Objectives: Secure sustainable funding through the completion of funding applications and manage a sponsorship campaign which would aid with the 2012 Creative Age Theatre Festival.

Long-Term Objectives: Secure sustainable funding through the development and maintenance of effective relationships with individual donors and corporate supporters. Develop strategies to grow Creative Age Edmonton in the 3-5 year horizon.



Assist the Transition Team to improve communications with donors and the general public.

Deliverables: Submit periodic update reports following a schedule agreed upon between contractor and ESCC Executive Director. Meet with the ESCC Executive Director to review progress and strategize as deemed necessary between the two parties. The reviews will be scheduled prior to the Creative Age Transition Team meetings in order to provide updates to the team and to solicit their feedback and support.

Submit a final report with recommendations by the contract end date.

Lists and spreadsheets to be sent electronically to ESCC Executive Director by contract end in a format to allow additions/revisions.

Qualifications: Affiliation with Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), experience in successful fund development plans including managing relationships with corporations, foundations, community partners, public institutions and individual donors. Solid communication skills and knowledge of marketing are very helpful.
