Jobs (Calgary): Music Instructor – Storybook Theatre

Storybook Theatre is seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and passionate Music Instructor to join our Theatre School team in Calgary, Alberta!

The Music Instructor will work with children and youth in our Theatre School programs, helping students develop their vocal skills, musicality, confidence, and performance abilities. The ideal candidate is someone who loves working with young performers and is excited to create a fun, supportive, and engaging learning environment.

Responsibilities may include:

- Teaching music and vocal instruction to children and youth




- Teaching songs and musical material for theatre productions and classes
- Helping students develop vocal technique, musicality, and performance confidence
- Leading engaging music-based activities and rehearsals
- Collaborating with directors, choreographers, instructors, and theatre school staff
- Supporting a positive, inclusive, and encouraging classroom workplace
- Preparing students for performances and showcases

Qualifications & Experience:

- Experience teaching music, vocals, musical theatre, or working with children/youth
- Strong vocal and musical knowledge
- Musical theatre experience is considered an asset
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a creative team
- Energetic, patient, organized, and enthusiastic
- Experience working with young performers is an asset

Location: Calgary, Alberta

Position: Music Instructor – Storybook Theatre Theatre School

Contract/Program Dates: September-December 2026

Compensation: 20$/hr
