Compensation: $22/hour, 40 hours/week for a 4-week contract plus 20 hours of versatile onboarding (180 hours total)

Reports to: Festival Production Manager & Interim Operations Director Overview

Reporting to the Festival Production Manager & Interim Operations Director, the Vendor Assistant will support all food and artisan Vendors leading up to and during the Edmonton International Fringe Theatre Festival.

The Vendor

Assistant will provide hands-on coordination of site logistics as well as radical hospitality for our Vendors. This position includes opportunities to collaborate with and support other organizational activities and production departments.

This role is focused on radical hospitality and client care and execution of event details. This role requires a skilled verbal and written communicator.

The ideal candidate

- Understands and can communicate the rules, regulations, processes, and fees for Vendors;
- Facilitates Vendors' load in and load out according to a predetermined schedule;
- Monitors and supports Vendors throughout the Festival, ensuring compliance to all rules and regulations and that Vendors' needs are addressed appropriately;
- Facilitates distribution of pop, water,



ice and other goods and services as determined by our Vendor agreements;
- Collaborates with Production and Crowd Management teams and works closely with Operations Director and Festival Production Manager to ensure a positive experience for Patrons and Vendors;
- Performs equipment and site inspections, including load out inspection to determine property damage; and
- Completes a final report at the end of the contract. This role requires flexible scheduling and includes evening and weekend work. Vendors are located outdoors, so candidates must be comfortable in a variety of weather, lifting (up to 40lbs), and be comfortable walking/standing for the majority of their shifts. You bring collaborative, open, and welcoming energy to everything you do, but you know how and when to focus on the rules and regulations of a given situation.
