COMPENSATION: $1,500 CAD PER SUCCESSFULLY RECRUITED PLAYER

IMPORTANT COMPENSATION INFORMATION:

This is a performance-based independent contract opportunity. Compensation is $1,500 CAD per successfully recruited player. This is not a salaried position and there are no guaranteed hours, guaranteed annual earnings, or guaranteed number of player placements.

Any annual compensation range displayed elsewhere in this Indeed posting is an estimate only. Actual compensation is based on successful player recruitment as outlined in the Recruiter Agreement.

ABOUT THE TOTTENHAM RAILERS The Tottenham Railers are a junior hockey organization based in Tottenham, Ontario, focused on player development, opportunity and advancement.

We believe there are talented hockey players who are overlooked, need a fresh opportunity, or simply haven't found the right environment in which to continue developing.

We're looking for motivated, well-connected Hockey Player Recruiters / Scouts who can help us find them.

THE OPPORTUNITY

This is an active HOCKEY PLAYER RECRUITMENT position. This is not a traditional HR or employment recruiting role.

We're looking for people who know hockey, know how to build relationships and are comfortable initiating conversations with players, parents, coaches, agents, advisors and other members of the hockey community.

Our recruiters will identify prospective players, establish relationships, introduce qualified players and families to the Tottenham Railers program, maintain appropriate follow-up and help move prospects from initial contact through commitment.

We are open to engaging multiple independent recruiters with different geographic networks and areas of expertise.

We are particularly interested in recruiters with established hockey connections in:

- Ontario, particularly outside the Greater Toronto Area
- Quebec
- Western Canada
- Atlantic Canada
- United States
- Europe and other international hockey markets

WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Actively identify prospective junior hockey players
- Find unsigned, overlooked and developing players who may benefit from a new opportunity
- Scout minor hockey, junior, prep, academy, high school and other relevant hockey programs
- Develop relationships with players, parents, coaches, scouts, agents, advisors and hockey organizations
- Initiate contact with prospective players and/or their families
- Introduce prospective players to the Tottenham Railers program, development philosophy and opportunities
- Maintain consistent and professional follow-up throughout the recruitment process
- Review player statistics, video, hockey history and other available information
- Identify players with development potential rather than focusing exclusively on established statistics or rankings
- Refer qualified prospects to Railers hockey operations staff for evaluation
- Maintain organized records of recruiting contacts and prospect status
- Attend games, tournaments, showcases or camps when appropriate
- Represent the Tottenham Railers professionally within the hockey community

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

You may be a current or former:

- Hockey scout or recruiter
- Coach
- General Manager or team executive
- Player advisor
- Agent




- Hockey administrator
- Junior, college, university or professional hockey player
- Individual with an established network within the hockey community

Previous formal recruiting experience is an asset, but it is not necessarily required.

We are equally interested in people who have strong hockey knowledge, established relationships within the game and the ability to identify and recruit players.

The successful recruiter will

- Have a strong understanding of junior and minor hockey
- Be comfortable initiating conversations with players and families
- Be persistent and consistent with follow-up without using high-pressure recruiting tactics
- Communicate professionally and honestly
- Work independently and remain organized
- Understand that successful recruiting is built on relationships and trust
- Recognize development potential in players who may have been overlooked elsewhere
- Be comfortable communicating by telephone, text, email, video call and social media
- Maintain appropriate confidentiality regarding players and club information

COMPENSATION

Compensation is $1,500 CAD for each successfully recruited player who meets the conditions established in the Recruiter Agreement.

This is a performance-based independent contract opportunity.

There is

- No guaranteed salary
- No guaranteed hourly wage
- No guaranteed number of working hours
- No guaranteed number of player placements
- No guaranteed annual income

Actual earnings will depend on the number of eligible players successfully recruited.

For example, a recruiter responsible for five qualifying successful recruitments would earn $7,500 CAD in recruitment compensation, subject to the terms of the Recruiter Agreement.

WHAT QUALIFIES AS A SUCCESSFUL RECRUITMENT?

Providing a player's name or contact information alone does not automatically qualify for the full recruitment fee.

Generally, a successful recruitment involves identifying or being assigned an eligible prospect, establishing contact, participating meaningfully in the recruitment process and helping move the player toward a commitment to the Tottenham Railers.

Payment eligibility, payment milestones and the definition of a completed recruitment will be established in the Recruiter Agreement.

PROSPECT REGISTRATION

Recruiters will be required to register prospective players with the Tottenham Railers before beginning or claiming recruitment activity.

This allows the club to confirm that the prospect is eligible for recruitment compensation and avoids disputes where multiple individuals have contact with the same player.

Players who are already active Tottenham Railers prospects, have previously been in substantive recruitment discussions with the organization, or were independently identified by the club may not qualify for recruitment compensation unless the prospect is specifically assigned to the recruiter.





Final determination of prospect eligibility will be made by the club in accordance with the Recruiter Agreement.

RECRUITING AUTHORITY

Recruiters represent the Tottenham Railers for the limited purpose of approved player recruitment.

Recruiters are not authorized to:

- Change or negotiate player fees without club authorization
- Offer discounts, scholarships or financial assistance without approval
- Guarantee roster positions, playing time, line assignments or special-team opportunities
- Guarantee advancement to another hockey program or level
- Enter into agreements on behalf of the Tottenham Railers
- Make financial or contractual commitments on behalf of the organization

All player commitments and final roster decisions remain subject to approval by Tottenham Railers hockey operations.

SCHEDULE AND LOCATION

This chance offers a flexible schedule.

Recruiting activity can primarily be completed remotely, and recruiters may be located anywhere in Canada, the United States or internationally.

Evening and weekend availability will sometimes be necessary because of hockey schedules and the availability of players and families.

Travel to games, tournaments, showcases or camps may occasionally be beneficial but should be discussed with the club in advance where expenses or reimbursement are involved.

- How you would approach identifying and recruiting unsigned or overlooked players

We are especially interested in hearing from individuals who already have strong relationships within minor, junior, prep, academy, college, university or international hockey.
